Czech Welding Institute, ltd. (ČSÚ) – Profile of the Company
Czech Welding Institute is the research, development, inspection, certification and testing organization dealing with welding technology. ČSÚ has been established on 1994, majority owner is VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava . Main activities are therefore supported by wide R&D, laboratory and personal potential of VŠB – TU Ostrava. ČSU also collaborates with further accredited testing laboratories for destructive and nondestructive testing of materials and weld joints.

- Accredited certification body No. 3054 for quality management systems certification.
- Competent organization for confirmation of documentation in nuclear industry.

- Accepted auditor of quality management systems according to standards ČSN EN ISO 3834-2 to -4
- Documents issued by ČSÚ are recognized by international organizations like DNV , NORSOK etc.
